South Downs Joint Committee

My first experience of working with the joint committee was during a two-week work experience placement, June 2007, with the Northern area team of Rangers, based at Midhurst in West Sussex. I have since joined the team for volunteer work party days at regular intervals between my studies.
Tasks I have been involved with include ragwort pulling, birch pulling, barn owl chick ringing, conservation work for Silver-studded Blue butterflies, charcoal burning, rights of way management including signposting and fallen tree clearance, preparation for events, and surveying.
